Obituary: Jewell Hudson, November 23, 1934 – April 1, 2026

Jewell Hudson, beloved wife of Carroll “Huddie” Hudson, passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born at Fort Sam Houston on November 23, 1934, Jewell lived a life marked by faith, service, and devotion to her family and community. She was married to Carroll “Huddie” Hudson for 31 years, and together they made their home on Fort Clark for nearly 20 years. Members of the Fort Clark Springs community since 2007, they resided in Unit 35.

Jewell attended church services with her husband at the Methodist Church in Brackettville until declining health made it difficult for her to leave home. She remained a cherished part of the church and Fort Clark communities.

Before retiring, Jewell worked for the Marriott Corporation for 15 years. She was also an active and valued member of the Fort Clark community, serving as president of the Garden Club for two terms.

A memorial service was held April 18, 2026, at the Methodist Church in Brackettville. Huddie, along with Jewell’s son and family, welcomed all who came to remember and honor her life. Jewell will be remembered with love and gratitude by her husband, family, friends, and all who knew her. Please keep Huddie and the family in your thoughts and prayers.
