Obituary: Judy Townsend Whittenton

The family of Judy Townsend Whittenton of Brackettville is saddened to announce her passing on April 6, 2026. A dedicated educator, Judy retired after a fulfilling career at Jones Elementary, where she was affectionately known as Ms. Hooker to the generations of students she taught and inspired. Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Joe and Oleta Townsend. She was preceded in death by her son, Clinton Hooker. Her memory will be kept alive by her son, Brian Townsend, her brothers, Joe & Jim Townsend, and her sister Jeri Hogan. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Clinton Hooker Jr., and Emily and Brady Townsend. Judy was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her.
