Obituary: Elia H. Coe, November 30, 1969 - February 27, 2026

Elia Coe entered into God’s everlasting peace and glory while surrounded by those she loved most on February 27, 2026. Elia was born November 30, 1969 in Brackettville, Texas. She graduated from Brackett High School in 1988, spending her summers at Alamo Village keeping up with movie crews, performing gun fights and feeding the music artists. She dedicated 25 years of service to Texas Department of Transportation as Officer manager but had the most fun as an inspector with the road crews. 
Upon her retirement she enjoyed a new chapter of dedicated yard work, taking care of her kids, showing her love through her cooking and most importantly being Cita. She spent her days enjoying life with her husband , playing trucks with her grandson and taking care of her family. She lived a life full of joy and hard work, no one loved their family more than she did and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jessica Payne DeLeon and father Oscar Payne.
Left to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Brad Coe, Daughter Nevada Ward & husband Blake Ward, her greatest joy grandson Anderson Ward, sister Martina Payne, mother Josefa Payne, Josh Coe and children Ainsley, Wyatt and Landon, numerous family members and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM at The First Baptist Church, 301 N. Ann St, Brackettville, Texas; followed by the interment at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery.
