Local Rescue Efforts Needed to Save Seven Puppies

by Annabell McNew

Heather Ruble of Flights to Furever returned to Brackettville this week to help save another group of puppies from a dire situation. These seven German Shepherd mix puppies, approximately 10 weeks old and weighing 12–15 pounds each, are currently living in extremely poor conditions—confined to a small pen filled with feces and flies. Without immediate rescue, the pups will end up in animal control with only five days before euthanasia.
The puppies, whose mother is a German Shepherd and father a medium-sized mixed breed, still do not have a rescue tag. Heather and Flights to Furever have partnered with Kinney County Animal Advocates (KCAA) many times to save dogs from similar situations, but this case is especially urgent.
How to Help: Fosters and sponsors are desperately needed to keep these puppies safe and help them reach Flights to Furever’s next transport to the WNY area on August 9. If you can foster or sponsor these pups, please reach out to KCAA or Heather Ruble immediately. Your help could mean the difference between life and death for these seven little lives.
