AnnaBelle Martin Heads to Italy as All-American Volleyball Star

Brackettville’s own AnnaBelle Martin took flight this past Sunday—destination: Italy. Selected as an EXACT All-American International athlete, the talented sophomore is representing Brackettville, Texas, in Milan and Venice this week, competing against top Italian volleyball clubs. It's a major achievement for the home-schooled student athlete, who has been turning heads with her relentless drive, powerful gameplay, and deep love for the sport.

AnnaBelle, an outside hitter with six years of experience, plays for a Del Rio travel team and is known for her aggressive, versatile style, according to her PrepDig player bio. “I love to hit the ground and I love to win,” she says. Her hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed— she was named Nike Camp’s 2024 Hardest Hitter, is featured as a Player to Watch on PrepDig, and has already been invited to represent the U.S. as an international player with “America’s Team” in the Dominican Republic next summer.   

AnnaBelle was also invited to camps by several colleges and universities this summer. She was personally invited to a 3 day Trinity University’s Prospect Camp which is for players they are watching, and attended the Junior Volleyball Showcase as a potential Texas college recruit, as well as the EXACT X1 Showcase that was in front of colleges from around the country.

Daughter of local real estate duo, Ashley and Brian Collier, AnnaBelle’s mother credits so much of her success to her amazing club coaches and incredible teammates who taught her how to love the game again. AnnaBelle’s family has been a tremendous part of her volleyball journey. Her parents helped turn her driveway into a personal training zone, complete with a rebounder, spiking tool, and handmade net, so she can practice right here at home in Brackettville.  Her passion doesn’t stop at personal progress—she mentors younger players, passing on her skills and team-first attitude. 

Off the court, AnnaBelle is just as dynamic. A tomboy at heart, she loves spending weekends outdoors and working with horses. She’s funny, fiercely competitive, and grounded in both nature and community. AnnaBelle also has a long-term goal of studying Criminal Justice in college, seeking a school where she can thrive both athletically and academically.
