Megan was born in San Antonio, and raised in Brackettville, where she graduated high school and made lifelong friendships that stood the test of time. She was a decorated, disabled Army veteran and former Army Intelligence Special Agent who served her country with courage and distinction in both South Korea and Iraq. While deployed to Iraq, Megan and her team were credited with the capture of several high-value targets (HVTs) a legacy that reflects her strength, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to her mission.
After returning home and being honorably discharged, Megan faced a different kind of battle, one that many veterans know all too well. She lived with the weight of severe PTSD, but she never stopped fighting. Through all the ups and downs, she remained a loving mother and a loyal friend.
Megan loved her two daughters, Edin (9) and Evin (7), they were the light of her life. She found joy in simple things: she loved karaoke, classic westerns, and anything John Wayne. She shared laughs with family and friends. Prior to her entering the military Megan was known for many good deeds through the years, including; visiting elderly folks in nursing homes which she did for years with a church group.
On June 20, 2025, Megan passed away at the age of 37. Her journey was not easy, but her courage, her service, and her love for her children will never be forgotten. She leaves behind her daughters, family, and friends who will remember her not just for her struggles, but for her bravery.
May she now find the peace that she fought so hard to find in life.
