Cabalgata La Herradura, the First of Many Community Trail Rides

Cabalgata La Herradura, a 10-mile trail ride from Spofford to Brackettville, organized by Rocky Aguirre, ended with games, food, music and goat roping on Saturday, June 21. This was Aguirre’s first trail ride of many more to come. The event encouraged riders from other towns to be a part of the community, and over 50 riders participated. Over 100 people came together for fun and fellowship, making this first event a fantastic success. A live band and DJ followed by the goat roping and raffles were all free to attend. Mr. Aguirre thanks family and friends for helping organize, and everyone who donated their time and gifts for the loteria. Special thanks to J. Aguirre, R. Aguirre, N. Aguirre, E. Salazar, I.
