FY 2023 Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure and Safety Modernization Grant - Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, and

FY 2023 Safe Streets and Roads for All – Planning and Demonstration Grant

The City of Brackettville is giving notice of the city’s intent to submit grant applications to the above-mentioned agencies for funding projects. The USDA Rural Development, Non-Construction application will request vehicles for law enforcement development. The USDA Rural Development, Community Facilities application will request funding for the establishment of a city owned brush collection center. The USDOT, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure and Safety Modernization Grant will request funding for projects that will repair, replace, or rehabilitate high risk natural gas distribution infrastructure. The USDOT, Safe Streets and Roads for All will request funding to develop, complete, or supplement a comprehensive safety action plan. The City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the City Annex for discussion and review of these projects. Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact the City Hall at least two days before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
