FCSA Financial Audit Questions Remain Unanswered

Members were given the opportunity to ask questions about the FY 23-24 financial audit at the annual membership meeting, but questions were almost nonexistent because the FCSA Board of Directors choose to withhold the release of the audit until the Monday after the meeting.
Questions are normally directed the firm engaged to preform the audit, but this year questions were answered by the Association’s financial consultant. Members were told by President Guzman this change would save FCSA $2,000, but under further questioning the savings turned out to be $550.
A list of questions were presented to the Association after members had the opportunity to review the report. These questions were addressed by our consultant at a town hall; however, it was stated that most of these answers should be provided by the Board/General Manager, or the firm that produced the audit report.
An update on the status of these questions is expected to be delivered at this weekend’s monthly Board of Director’s meeting.
