Fort Clark Days Recognizes AEP Texas as Top Sponsor
The organizers of Fort Clark Days would like to extend sincere thanks to AEP Texas, whose generous support has made a meaningful difference in both Brackettville and Fort Clark Springs. As the top sponsor of Fort Clark Days in recent years, AEP Texas has gone above and beyond in its commitment to supporting local communities.
Since 2023, AEP Texas has contributed a total of $13,500 to community initiatives in the area. That includes a $5,000 grant to the Fort Clark Springs Community Council in support of Fort Clark Days 2023, in addition to a $1500 sponsorship, followed by $1,000 sponsorships for both the 2024 and 2025 events. In addition, AEP Texas awarded a $5,000 grant to the H.O.P.E. Outreach Center of Brackettville, which has been instrumental in assisting local residents in need.
These contributions have made a significant impact. Fort Clark Days, a cherished event that celebrates the area’s history and heritage, relies heavily on sponsorships to support its educational programs, living history demonstrations, and local vendor participation. AEP Texas’ sponsorship helped ensure the event’s continued success and reach, enabling it to serve as both a cultural highlight and an economic boost for the region.
AEP Texas provides electric service to over one million meters across south and west Texas, including Kinney County. But beyond infrastructure, the company has shown a strong commitment to the communities where its employees live and work. Their community engagement statement says it best: “Being a good community partner and neighbor is part of who we are.”
In smaller communities like Brackettville and Fort Clark Springs, where volunteer-run programs and local businesses often carry the weight of civic events, contributions like these go a long way. They allow outreach efforts to expand, reduce financial strain on local sponsors, and help preserve the unique character of rural Texas towns.

Fort Clark Days would not be the same without the support of dedicated partners like AEP Texas. On behalf of the event organizers and the broader community, Fort Clark Days offers its heartfelt thanks to Jimmy Earnest, AEP Texas External Affairs Manager, and the entire AEP Texas team for their continued generosity.
