As pumping has increased and rainfall has decreased, the rate of flow of Las Moras Spring has fallen. Precipitation records are for USGS Quadrangle 807, which covers parts of Kinney, Edwards and Val Verde counties. “MZ” is management zone, three geographical divisions in Kinney County that show which irrigation wells seem to have the most impact on spring flow.
