Media Release for Free and Reduced-Price Meals Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) 2023-2024
The Brackett ISD has approved a change to its policy for serving meals to children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-2024 school year. All Schools will be administering a Pilot Program to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program which provides breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. The District will be requiring all families to fill out a Socio-Economic form instead of a meal application. This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
