COMING SOON: A NEW VISITOR GUIDE FOR KINNEY COUNTY & THE REGION

by Annabell McNew

Kinney County Post wants your help to highlight the local scene for visitors this holiday season

The Las Moras Visitor Guide, published by Kinney County Post is coming soon….a new full-color, glossy magazine designed to showcase Brackettville, Fort Clark Springs, Kinney County and the surrounding region to visitors and locals alike.

More than 10,000 free copies are planned for distribution throughout the area, giving local businesses, attractions, historic sites, restaurants, shops and destinations a lasting way to reach travelers well beyond a single event or weekend.
The guide will launch alongside Legends at Las Moras and the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street exhibition, which is expected to draw more than 3,000 visitors during the holiday season. That influx represents an important opportunity to keep more visitor dollars circulating locally,  in restaurants, shops, lodging, attractions and other small businesses, while introducing guests to everything the region has to offer.
Inside, readers can expect local history, attractions, dining, shopping, lodging, events, outdoor recreation and regional destinations, along with sample road-trip itineraries and a special Local Favorites section. And we want the community to help us build it.
What would you tell a visitor not to miss? Send us your favorite restaurants, day trips, scenic drives, hidden gems, historic stops, shops, outdoor destinations, photo spots and uniquely local experiences.
Send us your favorites and help us create a guide that shows visitors what makes this region worth exploring, and gives them a reason to stay a little longer. Business and advertising opportunities are also available now.
