Obituary: George Conrad "Bo" Haskin

George Conrad "Bo" Haskin, 85, of Brackettville, Texas, passed away on August 5, 2026. He was born on March 13, 1941, in Ingleside, Texas, to Darrell and Margret Haskin.

A lifelong Ingleside Mustang, Bo attended Ingleside schools from first grade through high school, where he excelled in football and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. He continued playing football for one year in college and remained deeply devoted to his hometown, spending many years helping organize Ingleside High School reunions and keeping classmates connected.

Bo proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. After his military service, he worked for many years in the residential glass business.

Bo shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Norma. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Alaska before retiring to Fort Clark Springs near Brackettville in 1999, where they became devoted members of the Brackettville Church of Christ. Bo loved classic automobiles, especially those from the 1940s and later, and was known for his warm smile, strong faith, and unforgettable sense of humor. Friends and family will always remember his favorite saying, "I'm checking my eyelids for pinholes."

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Haskin; his parents, Darrell and Margret Haskin; his brother, John Haskin; and his daughters, Debra "Debbie" Boehm Browning, wife of Elton, and Linda Boehm Campbell, wife of Tony. Bo is survived by his children, Cindy Boehm Helm and her husband, James, of Aransas Pass; Teddy Boehm and his wife, Carla, of Ingleside; and Annette Boehm Chambliss and her husband, Eddie, of Brookston. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; his brothers, Leon Haskin, Tom Haskin, William (Pete) Haskin, and Duvane Haskin; his sisters, Marilyn Ward and Martha Parr; and many beloved nieces, nephews, classmates, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Brackettville Church of Christ or Sunny Glen Children's Home.

Bo's life was marked by faith, service, love of family, pride in his hometown, and friendships that endured a lifetime. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
