Kinney County Receives $500,000 for New Ambulance, Equipment

Kinney County EMS received good news this month with approval of $500,000 in funding toward the purchase of a new ambulance and equipment. The announcement was made during the Aug. 10 meeting of the Kinney County Commissioners Court. EMS Director Nick Morgan said the funding was approved through House Bill 3000. “That is extremely good news for the county and the citizens of the county,” the Morgan told commissioners.

EMS also presented its July activity report, showing 41 calls and 22 patient transports during the month. Nine patients were transported to Uvalde and 13 to Del Rio. EMS also provided standby coverage for a July 4 5K event at Fort Clark Springs, and no patients required air transport during July.
