Frontier Christmas Committee Begins Planning for 2026 Festival
Planning is getting underway for this year’s Kinney County Frontier Christmas Festival, and organizers are inviting community members, businesses and local organizations to help shape the celebration. The Kinney County Frontier Christmas Committee will hold a planning meeting on Tuesday, September 1, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kinney County Fire Station. The meeting is open to community partners and anyone interested in becoming involved with this year’s festival. Committee members will discuss plans for the upcoming Frontier Christmas Festival, volunteer opportunities, sponsorships and ways local residents and organizations can contribute ideas and support.
One of the major projects being considered for this year is the purchase of an 18-foot panel Christmas tree. Organizers hope the tree will become a new centerpiece for Frontier Christmas and a holiday tradition that can be enjoyed by the community for years to come. The committee is encouraging participation at every level. Residents do not need to make a major commitment to attend the meeting. Those interested in volunteering, sponsoring an activity, sharing an idea or simply learning more about the festival are welcome.
Frontier Christmas has long depended on the involvement of the Kinney County community, and organizers hope this year’s planning process will bring even more local partners together. Anyone interested in helping make the 2026 Frontier Christmas Festival a memorable celebration is encouraged to attend the September 1 meeting.
A healthy Kinney County requires great community news.
